All park visitors are required to have an entrance pass for their vehicle at all times of the year and all times of the day or night.
You do not have to purchase a Whiskeytown seven day or annual entrance pass if you already have one of the following passes: Interagency Senior, Access, Military, Fourth Grade, or $80 Annual; Lassen Volcanic National Park Annual pass. Display this pass on your dashboard or from the rear-view mirror.
Your digital annual pass is valid for one owner and one vehicle only. If you would prefer a card pass, you must print the digital pass on paper and bring it to the visitor center. The card pass can be signed by two owners and used in any vehicle. Your digital pass will be deactivated once it is exchanged for a card pass. The visitor center is open every day from 10 am to 4 pm.
Any digital pass may be upgraded to a more expensive pass at the Whiskeytown visitor center, but it must be printed on paper and returned before the expiration date.
Park law enforcement rangers verify the digital pass by entering the license plate number of your vehicle into a website.
Entrance fees are waived at National Park Service-managed sites on the following days
January 21 – Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
April 20 – First Day of National Park Week/National Junior Ranger Day
