NOTE: An entrance pass is also required to visit Yosemite National Park. The Glacier Point pass provides access to visit Glacier Point during the designated timeslot after you enter the park.

Know Before You Go

The pass may be either printed or reside on a mobile device, but connectivity may be limited and the pass must be available to show at all times when entering, exiting, or recreating.

Entrance fees are waived at National Park Service-managed sites on the following days in 2019:
  • January 21 – Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
  • April 20 – First Day of National Park Week/National Junior Ranger Day
  • August 25 – National Park Service Anniversary
  • September 28 – National Public Lands Day
  • November 11 – Veterans Day

Operating Hours & Seasons - Open everyday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with Bayside Trail closed at 4 p.m. and Tidepools closed at 4:30 p.m.

5:00 PM Park Closure
Please note: The main gate into Cabrillo National Monument closes at 5:00 PM, and all visitors must exit the park at 5:00 PM. Public access after 5pm and before 9am is not allowed. This includes walking, jogging, biking or any type of entry is not allowed.


Pets, Therapy Dogs, and Emotional Support Animals are NOT allowed in most areas of the monument. These dogs are allowed on the trail near the tidepools only. Service dogs that are specially trained and meet the legal definition of a service animal are allowed in all parts of the monument.
